BESS for cement customer
This BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) storage project has a capacity of 1 MW and will be the largest used by electricity consumers in Peru. The system will be located in Lima and saves the customer on electricity bills.
We provided all the relevant studies, assisted with permitting, and it was financed by CELEPSA. It is estimated that its operations begin in August 2023.
Capacitor banks for mining customer
Capacitor banks improve voltage quality and safety of electrical systems. They have a capacity of 15 MVAR. This will be implemented in two phases and will allow the customer to scale up its mining operations with electrical supply security.
We have conducted preliminary studies and are working to provide equipment and strengthen relationships with distributors in the region. This is so that Phase 1 (10 MVAR) can enter service by 2023.
Renewable energy laboratory for a cement customer
This project is aimed at our cement customer in Junin. It will have an electric power generation system with solar panels, wind power system, weather station and electric vehicle charging station. It will be the largest renewable energy laboratory in the country:
- Analyze different configurations of micro-scale renewable technologies.
- Evaluate renewable technologies' performance in complex conditions such as altitude, pollution level, hail and others.
220 kV and 60 kV transmission lines for a cement customer
To ensure the long-term reliability of customer operations and savings on electricity tolls, we have developed an innovative network project. This includes 220 kV and 60 kV transmission lines, high-voltage substations, and modernization of existing equipment.
Having prepared the basic engineering, we are responsible for financing, executing, and operating the system. The operation is scheduled to begin at the end of 2024.
Renewable energy for conservation area
We are financing and implementing renewable energy systems to supply electricity to a private conservation area in southern Lima. This includes the integration of a lighting system and electric vehicle charging centers to make the area environmentally sustainable.
By mid-2023, we expect to make this conservation area management success story available to communities and businesses.
