Celepsa is recognized with the Socially Responsible Business Distinction

Peru 2021 and CEMEFI presented the award in recognition of the hard work of companies in promoting sustainable management and having a positive impact on society.

Lima, July 15th, 2021 - El Platanal Power Company S.A. (Celepsa) has been awarded the ESR® - Socially Responsible Business Distinction for its 2020 management, standing out in the Organizational Strategy axis, for its outstanding commitment and work with the environment.

The award was given by Peru 2021, a non-profit civil association that promotes sustainable development, and the Mexican Philanthropy Center (CEMEFI), as part of the tenth edition of the contest that recognizes companies that work in accordance with the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), through its four pillars: organizational strategy, organizational values and culture, and environmental development related to the responsible value chain.

The ESR® Distinction aims to strengthen the culture of Corporate Social Responsibility through evidence-based self-assessment. More than 160 Peruvian organizations and institutions have earned this prize to date, following a ten-year strategic cooperation between Peru 2021 and CEMEFI.
